Thankyou for the courage Chris boy do I need it...I have not a clue what I will say...my back is killing me and so are the hips...I am feeling very low at the min...its a no win tomorrow...I do hope tomorrow is not to hard on you.

Oh well I will play it by ear....the appointment is 10.30...so will have to leave early...its not fare but thorugh the traffic it can take an hour

Karen, you are having a rotten time too just now. Are the pain patches helping at all lass? I had so hoped they would but hang in there, you are so needing a break from all the stress just now. Hope tomorrow is easier on you.

Barbara, you know I am with you tomorrow, though I won't be around on here I will be crossing my fingers for you and crowding the pockets with the others. Please try and be guided by what the Consultant says. If you do have to bite the bullet you know how much support you will get here and elsewhere but I understand sheer terror too! so sending buckets of courage and cope with lots of love.

Coco, E, Christine and Tony hope this week is a better one for you all too. Thanks for leaving the kettle on Coco, do hope you are over the worst of the bad patch just now. You have been very much missed.

I have a nurse coming about my life insurance today. I'm trying to get some sorted but need lots of checks. more BP etc...only had a check a week or so ago with my GP and connected to my life insurance claim. Deep breathes.

Barbara, how did you get on, We are all dying to know, well I certainly am. Hope it was a good appointment for you.

Im afraid it didnt go very good, I waited for around an hour before they shouted me, then they just move you to another waiting room ...it makes people think it wont be long now....so another half hour...then moved to another room and another wait...20 mins and this nice young man comes in and tells me my consultant is busy do I mind seeing him ....so I was nice with him but said I had only seen my consultant once in 4 visits....he looked at my notes and asked how the injections in my hip had gone...I said they helped a little but not much...then he asked how did the epidural in my back go ...I said I havent had one of those for 3 years....so he produces a letter from last august from the back specialist saying I should have one to see how it works on the pain....a copy was sent to my GP and he has never said a thing....so they are making me a urgent appointment...and he will see me in 6 months....I said what if my hips go worse...I can hardly walk now...so he says if they do ring up and they will get me in sooner....I am fuming ..if they had done the epidural last year ..and I hadn't got much relief they would have done my first hip now...

They have really mucked you about. Whats the betting your gp never had that letter. I am so cross that you had to wait all that time and at the end of it. Well, you poor thing Barbara. You just haven't got anywhere. Well, lets hope your urgent appt. wont be a long wait. You might have to pester them.

I Hope that you are now resting as you must ibe in a lot of pain. You make sure you take it easy.

Oh Barbara you poor love, I had to read your post twice as was so upset for you!!! Not sure what I expected but it wasn't that at ALL so you will be shell shocked to the core. So is the urgent appointment for an epidural for the back?? I'm as confused as you are? Another flippin NHS mess up, don't these people speak to each other at all?? Feel sure your GP never got the letter to be honest. I have had to tell my GP about all my own hossie and non appointments lately, just to make sure she knows what is or isn't going on.

Try and rest up tonight and let it all sink in, but do get a GP appointment soon please to at least sound off at him. Am so so sorry you have been treated so badly and pushed from pillar to post without any real direction for months. It seems we are all reduced to begging for help just now and it really is a sad state of affairs all round. Hang in there, rest up or rant to any of us if it helps lovey. I have calmed down now.....I think you are right I dont believe my GP has had a letter..but I will find out tomorrow....Chris the urgent appointment is foir an epidural in my back that I should have had last August or roundabout.....nobody read the letter that was sent to my Hip man and so called to my GP....but dont forget I went to see my hip man before Christmas and they never mentioned it.....I do think they are trying to put the blame on my GP....I wouldnt care but I do not like these epidurals...I had them 3 years ago...and they are blinking painful...but I will have to give it a go,,,sorry i am going on.
I do hope you have all had this lovely weather, apart from Chris and Christine who were working.
Please dont worry about me you have enough to put up with......I am much calmer now

We do worry about you, each of us worry about the other. This is why e're here. And dont you worry about going on, please, if it makes a difference to you Barbara, you go on.

Just telling Tony what happened to you today, and he said why dont you give it a week or two then ring them up and say things have got worse. They did tell you to. So, go ahead and do it. I know an epidural is far from nice, but maybe it will bring some relief for you.

Barbara, you dont often say how you are really feeling, so you have every right to stress how bad you are feeling now. You always have lovely things to say to everyone else, well you are a wonderful person and you deserve to have things going right for you.

Tis ok to be well angry and feel let down today, but mull it all over in the next day or two. In your shoes lass I would want some serious pain relief and as Karen says the epidural may help, but remember it is always your decision lass. Don't let them fob you off or bully you or they will have US, AND and Mr Admin and his push up regime to deal with.

Hang in there, I will look in on you all later. I still haven't poached me knees yet so must log off for a bit.

Karen yeah the sun is shinning here...and its lovely and warm.. I will rest my bones today dont worry...and you to..I do know that your back is painful..I will let you know how this epidural goes...I did have one around 3 years ago..but to be honest my back wasnt half has bad so I didnt really feel ant benefit...they do them in theatre under xray..
I will just sit and enjoy the sun today...and forget yesterday till I see my GP tomorrow...
Chris will be at work I hope she can get some sunshine on her bones when she comes home

i ended up at a car garage today with my son looking at cars, ive been trying to persuade him to down grade from his gas gussling sports car to a normal cheeper to insure.tax and run car now he has his final date and leaving the army, he will be free in october , starts college in september so his income will be greatly reduced, anyway after months of talking and looking he bought a new version Ka, its a year old (just) and did a like for like swap, only had to cover the deposit of a couple of hundred and he gets it on friday. got an awsome deal and he surprised himself when he test drove it, he liked it . spent a couple of hours sorting it all out and the paperwork etc then picked the girls up and went to a little shopping mall we have near us. the girls went off clothes shopping and my and dan sat in a cfe enjoying a cuppa and the sun,

its been micro meals for tea today and now sat resting again, trying not to do to much as away next week for a few days camping, (got to decorate my dads bedroom for him as he is to ill and they had a damp problem, mould) dan will do most of it i will just do the cutting in.

got to drop daughter off at dance shortly, dan has gone home so im taxi tonight,
