Barbara, it's the big day. My thoughts are with you and with your DIL and son today, which ever way you are going to have another GD.
I can imagine you are bouncing around like the ball. Give my regards to your DIL, wishing all goes well. And shall look forward to hearing from you later on in saying she has arrived.

Christine, sorry your new little man has jaundise, poor little fellow. I can understand how your daughter must be feeling. I think maybe we were all the same when ours were new born. Fingers crossed it clears up soon for him.

Well.....no sun, but not wet, so thats good I suppose. We have to go and look at cookers today. (how exciting) our one has not been right for a while now, so thik it is about time we got a new one.

Christine..thanks for your kind words..I am sorry Tommy is jaundices...hope the spelling is right....it is a scary for new mums...I hope it disappears very soon...bless..I think both of my sons where...they put them under a lamp...not sure what it did

Well I text them just after 8 to wish them well...she is hoping it dosnt go on all day into the night...so am I..

I ain't going nowhere yet..my son has text to say they have been there since 8..and are still in a waiting room..there are quite a few being induced ...gosh it didnt used to be like this...it should be a really lovely experience for them both..

Another update...you will be sick of hearing from me today...
They have used a pessary..is that how its spelt.. and she has to lie still for an hour..they will check her at 5 oclock.. if there is a change...she will have her waters broken...wonder how long it will be after that. xx

If it's anything like me after they gave me an injection to start me off, it still was 8 hours later that Kim came along. Lets hope it's a lot quicker for your DIL. And NO we are not getting fed up with you. We want to know. Please keep us updated.

I will be setting off for the hospital in a little while..they are breaking her waters at 5 ish...ooooh I have never dont this before it is hitting me now....I will have to leave my meds...or I will be no use to them....wonder if you get withdrawal symptoms if you dont take the amis...so you may not hear anything now till I get home maybe in the morning...

Hi Coco, how's your throat and head, I am hoping that it was just a threat not coming to anything.

Oh Barbara, I wonder whether your DIL has had her baby girl yet. Hopefully, as Coco said yes she has and all is well. Once yo are home you can take all your tablets and have a good rest.

Landed at the hospital at 6 last night..she was just going into labour...10 oclock they gave her an epidural...and it stopped her contraction..so lated till they got them going around 6 30 this morning
Baby Niamh..Irish for Neave...born 7.39...and weighs 8.1...and they a4re both well..off to bed see you later xxxxxx

Barbara, you must be exhausted after all that time, have a good lay down. I am glad to hear that your DIL and your grandaughter are bot well and hopefully resting now.

Thanks so much Karen...I have had a lovely sleep ...my OH has gone to pick them up and take them home...I am so proud of my DIL ..I really am..she worked so hard at the end....I will post some pics very soon my son and Dil had just been at the hospital for 24 hours when she was born...they are shattered .
I gave her a bottle before I left hospital...and she drank the lot...

Thanks Coco..they are both well and now home...I cant believe how soon they come home now...I was in 3 days..mind you it was 40 years a go...

We will have to compare stories one day Barbara, I found myself too worried for Emily at one stage ..to worried to be excited ....then events took a turn and things were back on track again...then after the birth she was taken to theatre....so many highs and lows within minutes.
All done for us now though and he was well worth it.
Glad to hear they are seeling up to visitors already ...a good sign.
